Hey there most of us believe that WhatsApp is the best messaging app out there and many of us have not even heard of telegram.
Today I’m going to tell you why telegram is better than WhatsApp but first let me tell you about news events that have recently occurred one telegram just crossed 500 million active users around the world.
And Facebook was just caught red-handed for misusing the data of users and the company was in trouble, that same Facebook owns whatsapp so there is a huge doubt right now whether we should use Facebook services or not.
And everyone around the globe is deleting their Facebook profiles because of the data scandal so I think it’s the best time to give telegram a try.

And here are some damn good features of the telegram that many of you might have not even heard.
Cloud-Based Messaging Service
Telegram is a cloud-based messaging service which means every single message sent out is not stored on your phone.
It is stored in the data centers of telegram so if you plan to switch to some other phone in the future then you don’t have to make backups of your chat you just have to login into your new phone and every single message you ever send will be already there on your new phone.
Limitations
Whatsapp is a limit of 160 before sending files to some other person and 17 MB for video files and you cannot even send all kinds of files on the other side.
Telegram lets you send any kind of file with a maximum size of 1.5 GB so if you have movies to share with your friends you can do with that telegram.
Live Steam Video or Audio
Telegram just recently announced a new feature that I never thought I was missing but now it will be very hard for me to live without it.
You can stream the video or audio files even before they are finished downloading for example your friend sends you a big video file.
But you cannot wait to download it first and then watch it now when you receive a video file there are two buttons one is the play button and one is the download button.
If you tap on the play button the video starts to play after a few seconds of buffering so you don’t have to wait for the downloading to be finished there is even a video buffer down below just like you – you will even notice that the video is being downloaded in the background.
Choose Photo Quality Itself
Telegram also lets you choose the quality of the photo you want to send then you have to send a photo from this quick menu. The photo will be highly Plus to make the size very small and easy to download but let’s say you want to send the original photo without losing the quality then just tap on the paperclip icon then tap on the file and here you will see the option of the gallery notice that there is written to send images without compression tap on it and select the image so this is the original size of the image and there is no loss in quality.
Drafts
They also recently announced a new feature called drafts, for example, you start writing a message on your phone but for some reason, you could not complete it.
You will see a draft written on the chat in which you have an incomplete message and you can come back again any time and complete the message.
But they did not stop there they also took it one level further now if I decide to complete my message from my PC then the message is already there I did not have to do anything about it.
Chat with Someone without Sending the Number
The problem with whatsapp is that if you want to chat with someone then you have to share your number with them and many people are not even comfortable with sharing their numbers with people. They made it for the first time.
But with the telegram, you don’t have to tell your number. You just have to tell them your telegram user name and they can message you with that and when they chat with you they cannot even see your number just your username.
Multiple Accounts in Just one APP
Telegram lets you use multiple accounts in just one app for example if you have two different phone numbers for your work and personal life then you can add those to different accounts in just one app.
Edit Chat Messages
This app also lets you edit messages so if you send a message in which there are mistakes or something is missing then you can just hold the message and tap on edit to correct the word or mistake you to want.
Delete Sent Messages Before Someone Read
Telegram also lets you unsend the message you may say. WhatsApp already has this feature but to be true there is a catch to that.
In whatsapp, you get only very limited time to unsend the message, and also when you unsend the message from whatsapp your friend will be able to see that the message was deleted but in a telegram, you can delete the message whenever you want there is no time limit to that and if you ever unsent a message on telegram your friend will never get to know that you send them a message.

Unlimited Group Members
Some small things that telegram has are that you can have up to a hundred thousand people in just one group. It also lets you choose different themes to make it look the way you.
Final Verdict
I know very well that a telegram is still not perfect I feel that there is still one major thing that is lacking and that is video calling.
Telegram will be releasing video falling very soon this year and the only other thing lacking is the users when compared to whatsapp then telegram falls short in that category.
